THE PIANO GUYS CONQUER ANOTHER WONDER OF THE WORLD New Music Video “Jungle Book/Sarabande”
Musical Internet sensation, The Piano Guys, continue their quest to serenade all Seven Wonders of the World. For their third Wonder, Utah’s favorite dads, turn their attention to Chichén Itzá, where they filmed their latest self-made music video, “Jungle Book / Sarabande (Mayan style).” Check out the video here. The audio version is also available for purchase at all digital service providers.
Having already conquered two other Wonders, Christ The Redeemer in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and the Great Wall of China, The Piano Guys filmed this epic video in the Mexican jungle and at the iconic step pyramid “El Castillo” in Chichén Itzá. Located on the Yucatán Peninsula, Chichén Itzá was one of the largest Mayan cities in Mexico from 600 A.D. to the 1200s, and today is known for its spectacular historic ruins.
On their musical journey for this Wonder, The Piano Guys wanted to stay true to their tradition of mixing classical music with film scores, plus also honor the Mayan heritage, as they love infusing local and historical culture into their arrangements. In classic TPG style, they came up with the unique musical theme of “jungle harmony” and combined the songs “Bear Necessities” and “My Own Home” from Jungle Book with the classical piece “Sarabande” by George Frideric Handel. Additionally, they were inspired to incorporate instrumental music from The Mayans, so the actual Mayan percussion patterns and authentic Mayan wind instruments can be heard on track – listen closely!
The new song blends the songs “My Own Home” and “Bare Necessities” from Disney’s The Jungle Book with classical composer Handel’s “Sarabande.” Get the single today on iTunes, Amazon or Google Play. Click here to add it to your Spotify collection.
